Abstract Explorations: Digital Experiments by George Williams

Published Jun 6, 2025

UK-based 3D artist and designer George Williams has been steadily crafting Abstract Explorations, a personal project that dives into the world of abstract digital art. Each entry in the series presents a fresh set of visual studies where form, material and mood are carefully played off one another. Rather than following a strict theme, Williams seems more interested in how textures, shapes and lighting interact, resulting in eye-catching digital compositions.

Across the series, you’ll find soft, rubbery surfaces sitting next to glass-like structures, metallic objects suspended mid-air and vibrant gradients glowing against deep shadows. George’s approach is all about contrast, balancing chaos with control, sharpness with softness and bold colors with subtle details. Every piece feels self-contained, yet clearly part of a larger body of work that evolves over time.

Though abstract in nature, the project feels very considered. George treats each artwork as a design exercise, using 3D tools not just for technical polish but to explore the emotional weight of light, color and form. It’s a project that doesn’t try too hard to explain itself, letting the materials and visual rhythms do the talking. You can check out more from the series over on Behance and Instagram.
